Dr. Shola Olalude, an eminent physician was born in Lagos in 1966 to the popular Mr and Mrs C. Olalude. After his secondary education in Lagos, he gained a government scholarship to study medicine at the prestigious Bulgarian Medical Academy, Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1985. The young Olushola Olalude faced his studies squarely and excelled in all his medical courses. In 1991, he graduated and served his internship at the 1st Military Hospital, Sofia. The patriotic zeal in the young Olushola Olalude coupled with his craving to serve his fatherland made him return to Nigeria in 1994 to contribute his own quota to the task of building a virile and strong Nigeria. He did his Medical housemanship at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital(LUTH), Idi-Araba, Lagos. He settled in Ikorodu where he worked with a number of private hospitals. Some of the hospitals that benefited immensely from the international academic and practical experience of Dr. Olalude include O’Browne Clinic, Jobi Hospital in Ikorodu amongst others. Dr. Olushola Olalude is presently the Medical Director of SHOLA MEDICAL CENTRE (SMC), CONTACT established in 1999.
He was one time the president of the internationally acclaimed philanthropic organisation, the Rotary Club of Ikorodu metropolitan. The Ikorodu community has benefited, in several free medical aid programmes which the doctor participated in pro bono. Through his club he contributed to the club's donation of two brand new neonatal incubators to the general hospital, Ikorodu which had hitherto had only two infant incubators to serve a population of over half a million, last year.
He has held other post among which is the secretary of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA)/AGPMPN in Ikorodu and he is also the chairman of Lagos state Health Authority, Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA. This establishment is saddled with the responsibility of managing all the six health centres in the LCDA.
He is a recipient of several citations and awards from the community and internationally.
A renowned medical expert happily married to Mrs Noimot Omowummi Olalude and the family is blessed with three lovely children.
